Privacy Policy

The Tag Up (thetagup.com) is operated by Loblolly Labs (“we”, “us”). This page explains what information is collected when you use the site and what we do with it. The short version: there are no accounts, we never ask for your name or email, and we don't sell your data. We use a few analytics tools to understand how the site is used so we can make it better.
Information you give us
None, unless you choose to email us. The Tag Up has no sign-up, login, comments, or forms. If you email hello@thetagup.com, we'll use your message and address only to reply.
Analytics
When you visit, the following services automatically collect technical and usage information — things like pages viewed, how you got here, device and browser type, approximate location (country/region, derived from your IP address), and performance timings. We use it in aggregate to see what's working and what's broken.
- Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights — page-view counts and page-load performance. These don't use cookies. Vercel's privacy policy.
- Google Analytics — traffic and referral reporting. Uses cookies. How Google uses data from sites that use its services.
- Microsoft Clarity — we partner with Microsoft Clarity to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay, to improve the site. Website usage data is captured using first- and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of pages and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
We don't run ads, and we don't use this information to identify you personally.
Cookies and local storage
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set cookies as described above. Separately, the site saves a few preferences in your browser's local storage — for example, whether you picked light or dark mode. Those preferences stay on your device; they're never sent to us.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings — the scores work fine without them.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
- Content blockers and privacy-focused browsers will generally block all of the analytics above.
- Clearing your browser's site data removes saved preferences.
Sharing and selling
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The analytics providers above process data on our behalf under their own terms. We may disclose information if required by law.
Data retention
Analytics data is kept according to each provider's retention settings and is used only in aggregate. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to respond.
Children
The Tag Up is a general-audience sports site and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data — for example, adding a new analytics tool — we'll update this page and the date at the top. See also our Terms of Use.
